Resolved - Description of problem:
At approximately 12:06 PM EDT, the Omnilert admin portal was unavailable for login due to an on-screen error message: “There is a problem with your link to our site!”

Root cause:
During a back-end update to internal SSL connections, the Omnilert portal’s cluster connections became misaligned, denying database access. This resulted in an on-screen error message until the connection was restored.

Incident Start Time: 2026-09-09 12:06 EDT

Incident End Time: 2026-09-09 12:18 EDT

Total duration: ~12 minutes

Actions taken to prevent recurrence:
Omnilert has updated its SSL database connection settings to correct the root issue. We’ve also implemented a review of the change management process when updating back-end certificates to prevent misaligned certificate issues in future updates.
