Omnilert's downstream partners will be performing proactive maintenance to implement performance improvements to the SMS delivery platforms as per the below schedule. This maintenance may result in intermittent latency for shortcode SMS (text messages) during the maintenance window.

Omnilert has been informed that US Cellular will be performing a planned maintenance on their infrastructure as per the below schedule. (Other carriers are not impacted.)

Expected Impact: The carrier has advised that during this phase they will isolate the entire platform from incoming traffic and this will result in a total loss of SMS traffic for a period of approximately 4 - 5 hours. Texts sent to/from US Cellular to shortcodes during this window will be queued and delivered once US Cellular's maintenance is completed.

Monitoring - Engineers downstream now report that calling services are now fully restored and functioning normally.

Omnilert's internal tests confirm this, as voice calls have been completing properly. We will continue to monitor until all warnings are lifted, but this issue appears to be resolved.

Update - Please note that AT&T has upgraded this incident to a complete SMS outage for primary shortcodes (79516, 50911, & 84483). AT&T engineers are working to resolve the issue.

Traffic to known AT&T numbers has now been diverted to an alternate short code (70359) until this issue is resolved.
